You reach for the doorknob. It abruptly opens from the other side.
A man in a brown suit stares at you. He waited for this moment, not you. He only responds to your questions with meandering answers. The network takes him back, concerned with your line of questioning.
You awaken on the floor of an unfamiliar bathroom. A crater of shattered floor tiles carves an outline around your body like police chalk. You blink. The sink begins to overflow. "Emergency repressurization now active."
You reach for the doorknob. You cannot reach it.
He waited months for this moment, and you failed him. The network takes you back, concerned about his line of questioning.
You awaken on the floor of a familiar bathroom. The bathtub is shattered around you. You shut off the valve to the sink. The pipe explodes. A man in a brown suit enters. He takes a sample of your blood. He begins to sob. You bond as the room slowly fills with water.
You begin to see the surface now. You can swim again. You're home. You don't realize it yet, but you are communicating with them directly now. You have been taken in as family. You see another vision of the flood, but from afar this time.
Something sinister is happening down there.
This was an S.O.S. call.
You reawaken in the bed of a familiar hotel room.
